My name is Kiersten Setzer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. My primary goal is to help you gain a sense of control over your life and become the best version of yourself.
I understand that people often feel drained and overwhelmed due to the effects of chronic stress–anxiety, anger, isolation, and even low self-esteem. If you are at a point where something has to change but you don't know where to start, I’ll help you figure out the first step.
My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I will meet you where you are and tailor interventions to your specific needs, primarily incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness, emotion-focused, and somatic-informed techniques. I work with children and adults on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, adult ADHD, chronic stress, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma.
I also have a special passion for supporting young adults, college students, and individuals from BIPOC and other marginalized communities. In our work together, you’ll have a space where your experiences are understood, affirmed, and honored. My goal is to help you strengthen your voice, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels aligned with who you are.
Kiersten’s self-pay rate is $150/session
Kiersten also accepts most BCBS and Aetna plans
